Breaking: CFC Park to host the 2020 Fall Lacrosse Series Tournament September 26th

The James Vick Foundation is pleased to announce the return of the Fall Lacrosse Series Tournament.

A year ago, a motivated group of young women staged a competition for the ages, and set off a chain of events that culminated in the Dream League.

A year ago, we promised those athletes we would do another tournament, originally we hoped to do the tournament in the spring, but it was called off due to the sudden and tragic Covid-19 pandemic.

With so much uncertainty regarding sports, and the anxiety created by this ever changing world we live in, the James Vick Foundation wants to give one day of happiness to the athletes.

The Fall Lacrosse Series tournament will be staged at the CFC Park in Bethany Connecticut from 10am-5pm on September 26th 2020.

The focus of the tournament is to have fun, hang out with your friends, but we also want the athletes to walk away with something, which is why we are going to film every game, and bring in a photographer for action shots, we will disseminate the files to the families following the tournament.

For the first time in our history, we will open the door to college coaches, usually we operate by the invite only model, but with so much opportunity abound, we want the athletes to have the chance to be seen if possible, so we will work with the NCAA leading up to the tournament to ensure compliance. Our staff will work with the families to develop player profiles, that can be distributed the day of the event, it will help streamline on site recruiting. We want all families to review NCAA recruiting rules, they will set the table for how we welcome evaluators.

We ask that any college coaches that plan to attend to contact the James Vick Foundation to register, there is no fee, or red tape, we just want to be sure we are compliance, and know who is in attendance.

There is limited space for this tournament, with such a focus on individual exposure, we can only allow a certain amount of teams, Team North Haven, by virtue of their championship victory a year ago, will be invited to return, and defend their title.

The Fall Lacrosse Series Tournament program is free, no charge, insurance is taken care of.

Registration starts September 1st, on this website, we will announce the format, and the schedule in the days leading up to the tournament!

We would prefer to keep the teams town based, but guest players are certainly welcome. The JVF will send out an info packet following the conclusion of registration September 20th.

Good luck, we will see everyone on the 26th!
