BETHANY, Conn. — The James Vick Foundation is excited to announce its 2026 Free Summer Field Hockey Clinic, scheduled for Sunday, July 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at CFC Park in Bethany, Connecticut.
Open to athletes entering grades 6 through 10, the clinic is designed to introduce new players to the sport while providing current athletes with an opportunity to develop their skills in a fun, positive, and competitive environment.
The event is completely free to attend.
The Perfect Way to Start Field Hockey
Every fall, hundreds of athletes across Connecticut pick up a field hockey stick for the first time.
For many, summer represents an opportunity to learn the game, build confidence, and prepare for the upcoming school season before stepping onto the field in August.
Whether you are brand new to field hockey or already have experience, this clinic is designed to help athletes grow while enjoying the game alongside players from across the region.
No club affiliation is required.
No previous experience is necessary.
Just bring your energy and a willingness to learn.
Opportunity for Every Athlete
As the James Vick Foundation continues to expand its U14 and U16 programming, the organization remains committed to providing meaningful opportunities for young athletes regardless of financial circumstances.
Scholarship opportunities will be available for qualifying athletes interested in future JVF programming.
“Our goal has always been simple,” said Christian Vick, Executive Director of the James Vick Foundation. “We want young athletes to have access to great coaching, positive experiences, and opportunities to grow. This clinic is about introducing athletes to the sport, building confidence, and helping them discover what is possible.”
