New Haven, Conn — The James Vick Foundation has officially released the group stage schedule for the 2026 Yale Series Championship, which returns this spring to Johnson Field at Yale University across three competition dates: April 26, May 3, and Championship Sunday on May 24.
Now entering the third year of the championship, the Yale Series continues to bring together leading regional club programs from across the Northeast for a competitive and enriching experience for all these athletes.
The event remains the only free national championship-format tournament experience of its kind in the United States.

Tournament Format
Group Stage — April 26
Group Stage — May 3
Championship Tournament — May 24
Group-stage results determine seeding for the championship bracket. Final pairings and match order for May 24 will be released following completion of group-stage play.
All matches take place at Johnson Field, Yale University.

Rye Field Hockey Academy at the 2025 Yale Series Championship (JVF)
Championship Sunday — May 24
Championship Sunday returns to Johnson Field on May 24, when divisional winners will be crowned. Final bracket structure and match order will be released following completion of group-stage competition.
The championship trophy awarded each year is the Beverly Vick Trophy, presented to the Yale Series Champion in recognition of excellence across the full tournament schedule.
Two clubs not participating in the group stage will be given an exemption to participate in the championship

These awards reflect the continued partnership between the Foundation and organizations supporting access-driven competition opportunities for athletes across the region.

Tournament Rules and Participation Notes
All Yale Series matches follow USA Field Hockey rules.
Group-stage games will be played in a 30-minute running-time format. Each participating program may register up to 25 athletes per roster, and all players must appear on official tournament waivers prior to participation.
Field access is limited to rostered athletes, registered coaches, referees, certified medical personnel, and tournament staff to support safety and event operations throughout the spring schedule.
Additional championship procedures will be released with the May 24 bracket announcement.
