Y26: Championship Sunday schedule set for May 24th

New Haven — The James Vick Foundation has officially released the bracket, format, and full schedule for Championship Sunday of the 2026 Yale Series, scheduled for Sunday, May 24 at Johnson Field at Yale University.

Over the course of the spring, the Yale Series brought together clubs and athletes from across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and surrounding regions for multiple weekends of competition at Yale University. Championship Sunday will conclude the tournament with a single-elimination championship format in both the U19 and U16 divisions.

All participating programs previously competed during Yale Series group stage weekends leading into Championship Sunday qualification and placement.

U19 CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

The U19 Division will operate as a single-elimination championship bracket featuring:

Two play-in games
Two semifinals
Championship Game

U16 CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

The U16 Division will operate as a single-elimination championship bracket featuring:

One play-in game
Two semifinals
Championship Game

Championship Sunday games will utilize:

40-minute games
5-minute transition periods
USA Field Hockey tournament rules
