JVF Field Hockey appoints a new Head Coach

Bethany - (September 6th, 2025) The James Vick Foundation (JVF) is proud to announce that its founder, Christian Vick, will serve JVF Field Hockey program director and the Head Coach of the JVF Dragons in 2026. The transition ushers in a new era of leadership and competitive excellence for the program.

Vick, who currently serves as the Field Hockey program director at the St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, CT, has spent the last five years as the general manager as the JVF Field Hockey program. Learning from and working alongside some of the most respected coaches in the game. In August 2025, he developed a performance-based system rooted in mathematics and algorithmic evaluation, designed to bring clarity, accountability, and measurable growth to athletes. This system has already been successfully integrated into his work at St. Luke’s and will now be expanded into the JVF framework following the fall season.

“This is a really fun transition for me,” said Vick. “I’ve had the honor of watching and learning from incredible coaches over the last five years, and I’m excited to now fully implement my own system with the JVF Dragons.

The November 16th JVF Field Hockey tryout at CFC Park in Bethany, Connecticut will mark the beginning of this new chapter, with full club scholarships awarded following the session.
