Updated: Oct 9, 2022

HAMDEN - The James Vick Foundation is pleased to announce the return of our women's field hockey program!

After a banner 2022, that saw the program expand, compete, and improve, the JVF is super excited to introduce "Da League". A free women's field hockey competition that will be staged at CFC Arena in Hamden Connecticut! Programming will kickoff in January of 2023!

The program will be a confluence of league play, practices, and a championship tournament in March.

We welcome all high school teams interested to register!

Field Hockey players 8th grade and above are eligible to participate. While we encourage high school teams to compete, we will be allowing individuals to register. All players registering as an individual will be placed on a team following the league combine in mid January.

All participating players will receive a game uniform, insurance, and elite level coaching!

JVF Dragons and Panthers

The JVF Dragons and the JVF Panthers, the foundation's competitive club teams, will be evaluating participants over the course of the competition. At the conclusion of the league, the coaching staff will select individual players to join the club teams for the spring, and summer tournament season. Selected players will join returning players, and athletes that have been directly recruited to the teams.

The club teams are highly competitive, and recognized in the northeast region. The program produced four college commits in 2022. . This specific field hockey program is for dedicated, serious, field hockey players. If any interested players have questions ahead of the winter season, please contact #JVFHockey staff via the contact form on this website.

Registration for the JVF Field Hockey Winter League program will open November 20th! Space will be limited, so please make sure to register early!
